Stats:
  • Base Walk Speed: 35+

😈 Hungry Deer

Warning Message: "the Deer is hungry tonight"

Changes When Hungry:
  • 🔴 Eyes turn permanently RED
  • ⚡ Walk speed SIGNIFICANTLY increased
  • 💥 Damage output SIGNIFICANTLY increased
  • 🛡️ HEAVY resistance to stuns (flashlights less effective)
  • 🔥 Automatically hungry if campfire runs out of fuel

⚠️ Hunger Probability: Increases with each passing day. The further you progress, the more likely you'll face a hungry Deer!

🎃 Halloween Deer (Cosmetic)

Appeared during 2025 Halloween event. Features vampire costume with red collar, fangs, and small bat wings. Stats and behavior are identical to Normal Deer - purely cosmetic variant.

Spawn Mechanics & Location

🌲 Primary Spawn

Location: Forest biome at nightfall

Conditions: Will NOT spawn if:

  • Owl is active (snow biome)
  • Ram is active (volcanic biome)

🔥 Emergency Spawn

CRITICAL: If your campfire goes out during night, the Deer will immediately spawn ON TOP of the campfire in HUNGRY state!

  1. Find the hurt Deer near campfire spawn point
  2. Apply 2 bandages or medkits to its wounds
  3. Feed it substantial food (meat from 5-6 wolves recommended)
  4. Wait for it to recover

Ally Benefits:

  • ✅ Deer will NOT attack you (even when hungry!)
  • 🛡️ Defends you during cultist raids - deals MASSIVE damage
  • 🗝️ Grants access to secret cave (lore location)
  • 💪 Essentially a bodyguard for late-game survival

Pro Tip: Healing the Deer is HIGHLY recommended for late-game when cultist raids become overwhelming. The allied Deer can turn the tide of battle!
